Wednesday 1st

Clubs & Societies The night of the week that will be forever owned by our Clubs and Societies. From 7pm, the bars are the place to be!

 

Thursday 2nd

Music It’s our first Coffee House Session of the month. Tonight George Pelham takes to the stage at The Library at 7pm. Having previously supported acts such as Rizzle Kicks and Bluey Robinson, George played Latitude Festival last summer.
 

Friday 3rd

Fitness Start the weekend right with Energybase’s Team Circuits class at 5:30pm. 45 minutes of intense workouts guaranteed to push you that little bit further.

 

Saturday 4th

General Our Outdoor First Aid two-day training course starts today. Aimed specifically at orienteering and mountaineering clubs, the course is designed to help those who will operate in remote, potentially hostile environments far from immediate medical or emergency assistance.

Sunday 5th

Clubs & Societies Trial sessions for the University of London Cricket team will take place at Lords on Sunday 19th November and Wednesday 22nd December. If you want to apply for a place in the trials, you must complete an application form which can be found here and email it to keir.hopley@blueyonder.co.uk.

The University of London cricket club offers competitive cricket at a high standard. It is the best place to play cricket as a student in London. Bringing together talented cricketers from across the University of London colleges, ULCC pits London's finest against the MCC and Oxford and Cambridge University 2s.

 

Monday 6th

It may be Reading Week but we’ve still got lots going on at Student Central! Whether you fancy taking a break from the books or just a change of scenery, we’re open our usual hours this week.

Bars It’s our weekly cocktail night at The Library. Get two house cocktails for £10 - available from 4:30pm until close.

 

Tuesday 7th

Fitness Have you tried Energybase’s Aerobiking class? Similar to spin, this class will help to increase your cardiovascular fitness, burn fat and increase lean muscle. Luckily for you, there’s two classes on today! Midday and 6pm. No excuses.

 

Wednesday 8th

Fitness Did you know that Energybase members get free personal training sessions as part of their membership? Well they do! It’s really easy to book too. Just find your trainer here and book your session.

 

Thursday 9th

Music In support of their third album TIME, released back in September, Sheffield-band Milburn head to London to play our very own Venue.  Get your tickets here.

Friday 10th

Fitness Put on your dancing shoes, or should we say trainers, and head over to Energybase for their Friday Zumba session at 6pm.

 

Saturday 11th

Music Years ahead of their time in 1987, Pop Will Eat Itself surprised the independent music world by morphing overnight from two minute, three chord indie pop wonders into sampling hip-hop rock pioneers. Witness this iconic band for yourself tonight at The Venue. Get your tickets here.

Fitness Need some zen after a heavy night out? Energybase’s Yin Yoga 11am will get you back on track whilst helping you build strength, flexibility and stamina.

 

Monday 13th

Bars It’s our weekly cocktail night at The Library. Get two house cocktails for £10 from 4:30pm until close.

 

Tuesday 14th

Bars You know the drill! Tonight’s pub quiz starts at 7pm sharp in The Library. PS. Make sure you download the Speed Quizzing app so you’re ready to go!

Wednesday 15th

Fitness Push past your limits with cardio and plyometric drills, intervals of strength and power resistance at today’s Insanity Class. The 40-minute class starts at 12:10pm. Come on let's see what you’re made of!

 

Thursday 16th

General Our sold out Women’s Self Defence course starts today. If you want to enhance your personal safety with knowledge and practical skills taught by an experienced martial arts instructor, our next available course takes place in January 2018. Book your place here.

Music French electronic musician James Kent, better known as Purturbator, takes over The Venue. Described as ‘half human, half synthesiser’ you can expect to hear popular songs like Future Club and Humans Are Such Easy Prey.

 

Friday 17th

Music Chuck Prophet returns to the UK with the Mission Express for four shows this November. These dates follow on from his most successful tour ever with sell out shows across the UK earlier in the year. Don’t miss this show at The Venue! Get your tickets here.

 

Saturday 18th

Music Martha Reeves & The Vandellas take to the stage at The Venue to celebrate 50 years of Jimmy Mack. If you’re a Motown fan, you’ll want to get a ticket for this straight away!

Fitness Head down to Energybase for today’s lunchtime KIBO session. A dynamic fusion of kickboxing and body conditioning guaranteed to make you sweat! The 40-minute class starts at 12:10pm.

Music The night has finally arrived! Newton Faulkner takes to the stage for his first of two nights at The Venue. If you’ve ever seen this man play before, you’ll know what a treat is in store! Last few tickets available here.

Monday 27th

General Our five-day National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course starts today. An essential course for anyone considering a career in the leisure industry, the NPLQ is a recruitment requirement for a number of jobs from Pool Lifeguard to Leisure Centre Manager. It includes first aid training and water rescue skills. Book your space now here.

 

Tuesday 28th

Bars It’s the last quiz of the month! You never know, tonight could be the night you hit the jackpot! Starts 7pm sharp in The Library.

 

Wednesday 29th

Fitness  Have you tried out new Wuk Up dance class yet?! A dance from Barbados with roots in Africa, this new dance class is set to be the latest craze. 6pm - 7pm in the Energybase studio.
