Welcome to

ULBuddha (read "OUR Buddha") is a society which welcomes both Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike to take part in our exploration of Buddhism. We are all dharma brothers and sisters who motivate and encourage one another along our journey of understanding the Buddha's teaching.

What We Do

We organise many activities which are related to Buddhism's teachings, practices and cultures. For all of the activities, you are most welcome regardless of your level of experience and knowledge of Buddhism. You could be a complete begineer, a knowledgeable scholar of Buddhism or a devoted practising Buddhist. Please do join our activities in the event that you have a slight interest in Buddhism.

From the 20th to the 30th of October 2014, we offer essential Dharma Talks in six sessions covering 12 topics of the basic concepts of Buddhism. Each session also offers you the opportunity to ask questions and get the answers you need to change your life, your destiny and your outlook. These answers will hopefully help you with any problems related to health, careers, business, family issues, wealth, life, etc.

Every now and then, we will organise meditation sessions which aim at developing concentration, positive emotions and calmness. This will hopefully clear the mind from negative thoughts and eventually increase our wisdom in dealing with daily life.

There will also be visits to some beautiful temples around London. During these visits, we will be able to observe life in  the temple and the practising of different schools of Buddhism.

Apart from the activities mentioned above, we also encourage our society members to make a donation. Give fuel to our passion in gold!!

When and Where We Meet

The dates, times and venues of our activities vary. Hence, these details will be included in the regular e-mails which we send out to our members. However, most of the activities will be held in Student Central (previously ULU) building.
