University of London Art Society is open to all students at University of London colleges and institutes, as well as Associate Members of Student Central. Guest entry can also be possible, please contact us beforehand for more information. 

We run life drawing classes with a wide range of models and a professional tutor from 6:30-9:30pm every Wednesday during term time, as well as a mix of other classes and visits throughout the year. Classes take place in Room 3E on the third floor of the Student Central building on Malet Street, Bloomsbury.

All abilities are welcome! Life drawing is one of the best ways to improve your drawing skills and class often have a mix of every level from complete beginners to professional artists and illustrators. Our classes are tutored by Frank Gambino, an extremely talanted artist with extensive experience in running drawing classes and workshops. Frank gives general tips throughout the session and will be available to ask if you need any specific advice.

The society offers a great opportunity to meet other students interested in art from different backgrounds across the University of London at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. 

CASH FEE PER CLASS

• £5 for members
• £8 for non-members

This pays for our tutor and model, and includes some basic materials and refreshments. Please feel free to bring your own materials too!

This year we will be letting non-members try out their first class without membership but we have to ask that you buy membership before coming back for another class. This is unfortunately necessary as we rely on membership numbers to secure our funding from Student Central.
 

MEMBERSHIPS

• University of London Students:

Full student membership costs £8 per year and can be bought through the following process:

1.  Get a free Student Central card in person from the front desk in the Student Central reception. You’ll need your student card and academic email address ready.
2.  Go to https://www.studentcentral.london/organisation/Art/ and log in with your new Student Central details. Add the 'Art Full Student Membership' to your basket and checkout. 
3.  That’s it! We’ll get an update telling us you’ve joined.

• University of London staff and alumni, or current students at non-UoL institutions:

Associate Membership to Student Central costs £40 per year, with Art Society membership costing an additional £10 per year. This can be done through the following process:

1.  If you have a educational email address, you can go to https://www.studentcentral.london/account/newregister/ to register online. If not, collect an Associate Membership card in person from the front desk in the Student Central reception. You’ll need evidence of eligibility, which could be a non-UoL Student ID, Staff ID, Alumni Card or a photocopy of your graduation certificate. 2.  Once you have Associate Membership, go to https://www.studentcentral.london/organisation/Art/ and log in with your new Student Central details. Add the 'Art Associate Membership' to your basket and checkout.

• For other members of the public:

We have a limited number of spaces available for non-students unaffiliated with the University of London. Please contact us beforehand to confirm availability.
