General This month Copycats are running incredible promotions on undergrad dissertation printing and binding services! They’re the cheapest in the area and offer a super quick turnaround! Find them on the ground floor of Student Central.

Bars The bars will be showing the UEFA Champions League matches throughout March. Grab your mates and head down to support your favourite teams.

 

 

Thursday 1st

Music Thursday night Coffee House Sessions are back! Join us from 7:00pm in The Library for an evening of live music.


 

Friday 2nd

Clubs & Societies Our Shaolin Kung Fu club hosts free trial sessions for new members every Tuesday and Friday in room 3E 6:30 - 8:30pm. It’s ideal for beginners right through to black belts. Why not try it out today for free?

Music Guns 2 Roses play The Venue this evening. A must for any Guns n’ Roses fan! This high energy, hard rocking performance will not disappoint! Get your tickets here.

Saturday 3rd

Clubs & Societies The ULBC Men's 1st Eight vs Oxford University race takes place on the River Thames between Putney and Chiswick. Head down and show your support from 1:30pm.


 

Monday 5th

Clubs & Societies Get creative with the UoL Harry Potter society and make your own wand.  No need to spend £30 on one from Kings Cross, we will provide all you need for just £6! This wand making session will gain you membership for the rest of this year's events! See you at 7:00pm in room 2C.

Fitness Learn to hold the perfect plank with our 15-minute class at Energybase gym at 1:30pm. The plank is one of the best exercises for core conditioning but it also works your glutes and hamstrings, supports proper posture, and improves balance. You’ll really feel it when you get it right!

Tuesday 6th

Bars We’ll be showing the Liverpool vs Porto and Paris vs Real Madrid games in the bars. Both matches kick off at 7:45pm.

Bars It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for our pub quiz in The Library bar at 7:00pm.  

Here’s one of our past questions to help you gauge your knowledge... ‘The word ‘swims’ still appears as the word ‘swims’ when turned upside down, what is the name for these kinds of words?’

If you can answer that, you could have won our pub quiz last month and had your bar tab paid! Worth a shot.


 

Wednesday 7th

Fitness Exam revision stressing you out? Get down to Energybase 8-9pm for a relaxing session of Vinyasa Flow yoga. Relax the chatter of the mind with synchronised breathing and flowing poses.

Bars Head down to the bars to watch the Man City vs Basel and Tottenham vs Juventus matches. Kick off at 7:45pm.


 

Thursday 8th

Bars The Library plays host to this evening’s comedy night- ‘Weapons of mass hilarity’. Get down from 7:00pm and be ready to lol. Lots!

Fitness Come and play Dodgeball at Energybase with Harriet Bignell of the England Dodgeball team! Simply join in on the day or book your space in advance with Brenda.Francis@london.ac.uk. The hour session starts at midday sharp.

Friday 9th

Fitness Have you tried out our Swimsanity class at the Energybase pool? Swimsanity combines HIIT training with joint-friendly aqua classes and high-energy music. Ideal for both beginner and advanced swimmers. Starts at 1:10pm.

Music If death metal is your thing then you need to see Obituary at The Venue tonight! Last tickets still available here.

Clubs & Societies The ULBC’s Women's Head of the River Race, featuring the UoL Women's 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Eights takes place today on the River Thames from Chiswick to Putney. Races will be going on all morning so head down and show your support!


 

Sunday 11th

Clubs & Societies It’s time for the Men's Head of the River Race, featuring the ULBC Men's 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Eights. Just like yesterday, the race takes place on the River Thames from Chiswick to Putney and will be going on all morning for those who want to go down and watch.

 

 

Monday 12th

Clubs & Societies Test your trivia knowledge and see some of the films most iconic filming locations in the UoL Harry Potter society Scavenger Hunt which will include challenges along the way. Take part with your house to win house points and be up with a chance to win prizes. £6 for non-members or free to current members. Meet 6:45pm Room 2C Student Central.

Tuesday 13th

Bars The bars will be showing the Man United vs Sevilla and Roma vs Shakhtar Donetsk matches this evening. Kick off at 7:45pm.


Bars Do you know your Chief Wiggum from your Sergeant Lou? If you love the Simpsons then you simply can’t miss tonight’s Simpsons-themed pub quiz at 8:00pm! The winning team gets their bar tab paid for them. There are also prizes for best costume and team name.

Wednesday 14th

Fitness Ramp up your training with one of our Energybase personal trainers. The rumours are true, it’s free for Energybase members! Book your free personal training session here.

Bars Time for the last matches before the Champions League quarter-final draw… We’ll be showing the Besiktas vs Bayern match at 5:00pm and Barcelona vs Chelsea match at 7:45pm in the bars.

Music It’s time for Thursday night’s Coffee House Session! Join us from 7:00pm in The Library for an evening of live music.


 

Friday 16th

Music SOLD OUT - US blues-rock legend Chris Robinson of Black Crowes’ fame plays The Venue this evening with his band Chris Robinson Brotherhood. Well done to everyone who managed to get tickets to this one!


 

Saturday 17th

Bars Join us in the bars for St Patrick’s Day celebrations! An all day and night party, kicking off with Six Nations and Stew throughout the day and getting darker with Guinness deals and DJs into the night! Open from midday through to 2:00am so bring your green glad rags and get ready to party.

Bars Why would you hate Mondays when you can enjoy 2 for £10 cocktails in the bars from 7:00pm.


 

Tuesday 20th

Bars It’s Tuesday which means our pub quiz starts at 7:00pm sharp in The Library bar.

Wednesday 21st

Fitness Want to hit the gym but don't have a lot of time? Try our 8:00am HIIT class at Energybase. 45-minutes of high-intensity interval training with quick, intense bursts of exercise and short rests. Guaranteed to raise your heart rate and torch calories.

 

 

Thursday 22nd

General Our one-day NRASTC course takes place today. A must-have supervision and rescue qualification for teachers working on the poolside. The course is open to both students and external candidates. Student Central members can enjoy a hearty discount when you sign up here.


 

Friday 23rd

Bars It’s time to revive our Friday Club Night for the end of term party at The Venue! Expect Easter treats, decorations, drinks promos and much more! Get your tickets here before it's too late.

Music Take a trip back to the 90s with a night watching Damage at The Venue! Doors are at 7:00pm and there are still some tickets available over at ULU Live.

Bars Make the most of 2 for £10 cocktails in the bars and chill out after a day of exams.


 

Tuesday 27th

Bars 7:00pm calls for our Pub Quiz in The Library bar. If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that this month there’s a hidden bonus question out there… congratulations, you’ve found it!

Bonus question: TFL banned the drinking of alcohol on the Tube 10 years ago, but on which line was a large public party held to commiserate the loss of 'journey juice' (alcohol)?


 

Wednesday 28th

Fitness Come and work up a sweat, burn calories and tone the body, all whilst rocking out to great tunes at our Dance Fit class. Starts at 6:30pm in the Energybase studio.
