Throughout January

Tuesday 2nd

Fitness Energybase reopens this morning at 7am and we’re straight back in with our normal term-time opening hours. So there’s no excuse not to come down.

Weekdays: 7.00am - 10.00pm

Weekends: 9.00am - 9.00pm

Want to crack on at the gym but not sure where to start? Take part in our Ultimate 30-Day Beginner's Guide to Fitness; a one-month course designed to teach you the essentials of training. Master Bodyweight, machines and free weight exercises as well as write a beginner's cardio plan.

Wednesday 3rd

Bars & Food Fear not, Lunchbox Cafe reopens today after the Christmas holidays. Head on down to get your first jacket potato of 2018.

Thursday 4th

Fitness Ease back into your fitness regime with a 45-minute STOTT Pilates class. Starts at 1pm at the Energybase studio.

Friday 5th

Fitness Is your New Year’s resolution to become healthier and fitter in 2018? If so, head down to Energybase and book in for a fitness test with one of our instructors. It’s a great way to measure your progress throughout the year!

Monday 8th

Bars & Food The Library and Gallery re-open their doors today! Celebrate with our first 2-for-£10 cocktail deal of 2018.

Tuesday 9th

Clubs & Societies It's our Shaolin Kung Fu society's first training session of 2018! Fancy taking it up in the New Year? The club trains Tuesdays and Fridays from 6.30 to 8.30 in room 3E. Let them know you're planning to attend you get your first session free! UoLkungfu@hotmail.com

Wednesday 10th

Fitness Get down to Energybase gym and try out our brand new training equipment. Push yourself even further with:

  • Tyres and ropes
  • Plyometric boxes
  • Kettlebells
  • Sand bags
  • Mini trampolines

Our friendly and knowledgeable instructors are on hand in case you have any questions about using the new equipment.


Thursday 11th

General Our five-week Women’s Self Defence course starts today. If you want to enhance your personal safety with knowledge and practical skills taught by an experienced martial arts instructor, book your place here.


Friday 12th

Music The Library plays host to CUB Sessions featuring Wild Front, Wyvern Lingo, Rothwell and Danny Starr. Doors are at 7pm. Be sure to get there before the music starts; you don’t want to miss any of these!

Clubs & Societies It’s our Judo club’s first training session of 2018 and new members are welcome! Training takes place from 7 - 9:30pm at Energybase Gym and is followed by a local pub trip.

Saturday 13th

Clubs & Societies Student Central Breakdance Society is proud to host its fourth student and international break competition! Watch student and open public battles at Somers Town Community Sports Centre Dance Studio from 11:30am. Competitor and non-competitor tickets available here.

Wednesday 17th

Fitness Start a new year’s tradition and challenge your friends to a weekly or monthly sports night. Book our Energybase sports hall for five-a-side football, netball, basketball or badminton!  Great deals for members.

General Copycats print center re-opens today from 9am! Everything you need for essay and thesis printing and binding!


Friday 19th

Fitness Are you a member of Energybase? If so, take advantage of our free personal training session and reach a new level of fitness in 2018. Get one-on-one help and a workout program tailored to you, all for free! Book your session online or at the Energybase reception.


Saturday 20th

General Our two-day Pitch Side First Aid course is designed to help students taking part in competitive sport. It covers trauma injuries commonly associated with contact sports. Bars & Food Been brushing up on your general knowledge this Christmas? Played lots of Trivial Pursuit? Test yourself at tonight’s quiz night at 7pm in The Library.

Wednesday 24th

Fitness Our Energybase swimming pool is open for 7am - 7pm so there’s plenty of time to head down and do some lengths.


Thursday 25th

Bars & Food Need a snack? Fancy a brew? Lunchbox Cafe have a huge range of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, our famous baked potatoes, sushi, pastries and almost everything in between.

There's plenty of seats to catch up with friends or crack on with some work with our free WiFi!


Friday 26th

Fitness Looking for a low-impact fitness class that still torches calories? Our 45-minute Aqua-Fit class can burn up 300 calories and is kind to your joints. Head down to the Energybase pool at 1pm to take part.


Saturday 27th

Clubs & Societies Our University of London Boat Club will be racing 'Quintin Head' on the Thames from Chiswick to Hammersmith. Head down to Barnes Bridge or Hammersmith Bridge at 11:30am to show your support.


Monday 29th

General Our National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches 2-day course starts today. The NRASTC is a supervision and rescue qualification for teachers working on the poolside or in the water during programmed activities, such as a swimming lessons. Book your discounted spot here.  


Tuesday 30th
