Overview

King’s and Student Central are returning to Peru this summer to trek the Andes and Machu Picchu! The challenge is all in support of AiDS Orphan, a small UK-based charity that provides psychological and logistical support to mothers and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Kenya, Uganda and India.

The trip will follow in the footsteps of the Incas and ancient Quechua through the highest trail of the Vilcambamba Andean Mountains - the Salkantay pass.
You will leave the bustling colonial town of Cuzco, wind up through the tracks of the cloud forest in the shadows of the High Andes and reach the spectacular ruins of the Machu Picchu for sunrise on your final day.

It is a one in a lifetime opportunity and will be an incredibly enriching experience! Everyone is welcome, regardless of your university or year of study. No previous hiking experience is required, just motivation!
