Student Central previously known as The University of London Union (ULU) building was built in 1955, and by the late 1960's was used for the sole purpose of offering facilities to students of the University of London, and associated colleges. With over 120,000 students as the focus of its activities, it has no actual student members as the students are all members of individual colleges' student unions that Student Central is the umbrella organisation of.
Student Central plays a key role in many activities and provides a range of services on an intercollegiate basis, including cultural, recreational and sporting activities. As well as office space, restaurants, pub and gym there are 12 meeting rooms, and the Venue, that make up the Student Central conferences. The Conferences central accommodates the student societies and is hired out by external clients.

Whether you want to hold a large board meeting, a lecture, open day or a live music event or party the Conferences Central can offer you a great room at a reasonable price. From your initial enquiry through to working with you on the day we provide a high-quality service and will tailor everything to your specific requirements to ensure your event is successful. Full Wi-Fi access is complementary.
