Want to join the most dynamic, self-expressing and craziest dance style in the world while boosting your self-confidence and making lifelong friendships? Student Central Breakdance Society and London Breakdancing community offer the opportunity for everyone, whether expert or beginner, to BREAK THE FLOOR!

What We Do

Student Central Breakdance society is open to all University of London students (undergraduate and postgraduate) as well as members of Student Central. We welcome beginners as well as senior dancers and provide practice sessions for both. So no matter if you are completely new to breakdance or have years of experience under your belt, you can come along and join! We also organize group trips to local and national events, for both novice and experienced dancers, as well as lots of fun socials!

When and Where We Meet

Our Breakdance classes are suitable for complete beginners. We also hold free open jam sessions for all levels.

Beginner lessons are taught every Friday from 18:00-19:30 at Room 3C/D on the 3rd floor by a member of the committee. The lessons are free for our members.

Free open practice jam sessions are on Fridays (Room 3C/D) from 19:30-22:00 after the Beginner's Class (Address: Student Central, Malet Street, WC1E 7HY)

Who are the Coaches?

Alexander Chu aka Alejandro is a member of the world famous Air Force Crew new generation Texas chapter. He has been breaking for five years and is well-versed in all fundamental elements of breaking from powermoves to toprock. Achievements include breaking top 32 in the UK University Championship 2014 and competing in the Houston Red Bull BC1 Cyper 2v2 competition. Alejandro wil be in charge of teaching the basics and foundation primarily to beginners and intermediates at the beginning of the open sessions. He will also be organising workshops and instructional workshops with the aid of other well-qualified committee and non-committee members.
